Jessica A. Sorrentino is Chief Scientific Officer. She is a biotechnology executive with deep experience leading drug discovery and development programs from early research through clinical translation. She earned her Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has held senior leadership roles across biotechnology companies, directing R&D organizations, building development portfolios, and managing external partnerships.

Her experience spans translational medicine, preclinical and clinical development strategy, regulatory execution, biomarker development, and corporate value creation, including leadership roles across multiple IND filings, a drug approval, and an IPO.

In addition to her industry roles, she advises biotechnology companies and investors on development strategy and portfolio prioritization. She has also served as Chair of Women In Bio–Research Triangle Park (WIB-RTP), supporting leadership development and engagement within the North Carolina life sciences community.
