Atsushi Osada is the MATH-01 Program Lead at Materia Therapeutics and a Duke MBA graduate with more than 20 years of experience leading oncology development programs, global clinical operations, and strategic healthcare initiatives across Japan, the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has held leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, NanoCarrier Co., Ltd., Eli Lilly, and Oji Holdings Corporation, where he built strong expertise in translational oncology development, cross-border program execution, and international stakeholder management. At NanoCarrier, Mr. Osada directed multiple international oncology clinical trials across more than 40 cancer hospitals in over 15 countries. His experience includes GCP-compliant clinical execution, oncology program strategy, scientific publication coordination, and operational leadership supporting achievement of FDA Fast At Materia Therapeutics, he leads advancement of the company’s lead oncology program, MATH-01, overseeing integrated roadmap execution across CMC, nonclinical, translational, and external partner activities while coordinating development efforts between Japan and the United States.
